“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16)
Giving is the very fibres of Christianity. God set the example of giving and we are called to reciprocate what God has done in our lives by giving.
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” (Luke 21:1-4)
At CCChurch, we believe in a generous giving. Generous giving is not determined by the amount, but by the heart. It should never come from compulsion (obligation), but from conviction (God’s Word convincing you of the importance - Malachi 3:10), Compassion (your heart convincing you you of a need that you want to meet - 1 John 3:17) and cheer (a planned commitment to putting God first in your finances allows you to enjoy giving - 2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
