PART OF A BODY; NOT JUST A BODY PART
“Stewardship is not about STATUS, it is about FAITHFULNESS”
Stewardship
Stewardship is what most churches would call membership. The Greek word for steward in the NT means house manager. We believe that we are all called to be part of managing the house of God - the church - that Jesus has called us to.
We see stewardship connected to our place in the local church body much more than membership which is something that happens globally when we get saved. (Rom. 12:5; Eph. 5:30).
We believe that we are called to steward the house of God, by the grace of God, through the gifts of God and being a recognized part of a local body allows each of us to do this. (1 Peter 4:10, Gal. 6:9-10)
Stewardship truly is not about STATUS but about FAITHFULNESS!
"I am so excited that you are interested in becoming a steward of CCChurch. What a priviledge and honour it is that God has brought you to us and you would consider becoming a part of this body. I pray that I, and our team, are able to teach, serve and disciple you well as you grow and develop in the ministry God has called you to and become the person God has called you to be."
